Independence Day

Just an ordinary day in this country, but for all the Americans reading this, I'm thinking of you all.

Regular blogging resumes tomorrow.

Decided that at the ripe old age of 58, that it would finally be ok to buy fireworks! Went to the town 20 miles SE of us where the Lions Club was legally selling them. You would have thought the 4 of us were all about 5 years old instead of grey haired adults to have seen the way we danced and hollered as we set them off!

Not sure I should be surprise since I agree with Robert Bly that we live in a sibling society. Maybe some day our homeland will finally grow up and learn to play nicely with the other folks living on the planet!

In the mean time, here's to strawberry shortcake and sparklers!
